When the world looks different than it really is
Our exhibitions are not only about visual tricks – but about how our senses work. What does the brain do when vision clashes with unexpected information? How does balance function? Why do we sometimes trust our ears more than our eyes – or the other way around?
All of these are topics that can be connected to real school subjects – whether it is physics, biology, art education, or psychology. Perception is part of everyday life, but few people think deeply about it. We do – and now we want to explore it with you.

One illusion that says it all: trompe-l'oeil in Einstein Faces
You may have come across the term trompe-l'oeil – from French, meaning to trick the eye (read [tromp loy]). It is an illusion technique where something flat appears three-dimensional, or where space is perceived differently from its real geometry.
In our museum, this is beautifully illustrated by the Einstein Faces exhibit, where hollow faces suddenly appear to pop out depending on where you stand. Everything seems perfectly normal… until you take a closer look. It is not just a trick, but a carefully crafted illusion – based on manipulated perspective and shape construction.
"Students often come in and say: This is just for fun. And we say – yes, but do you know how it works? Once they understand the principle, they get excited. And they want to know more." — Aneta, Senior Museum Guide
Exhibits like this can easily be linked to lessons on perspective, spatial perception, how the visual system works, or even critical thinking.

Teachers welcomed and listened to!
Thanks to the new training, our team better understands the needs of school groups. Teachers often tell us they are looking for programs that engage children and still support educational goals. That is exactly why we are ready to adjust our approach depending on the age group, subject, or visit objective. Even better, everything we offer can be experienced firsthand. And that is the best way to learn.
